Wheels of Justice

Who we are.

Wheels of Justice is a cycling club dedicated to ending child abuse. Our members are spread along the Wasatch Front, throughout southern Utah, and even in a number of different states and countries. We raise money to support two outstanding organizations making a difference in our community: Prevent Child Abuse Utah (“PCAU”) and Friends of the Salt Lake County Children’s Justice Center (the “Friends of the CJC”).

Wheels of JusticeThe mission of PCAU is to prevent child abuse through public awareness and educating children and adults about such things as appropriate relationships, bullying, and internet safety. PCAU’s pinwheel logo symbolizes the innocence of childhood and the bright, happy future every child deserves. The CJC is an award-winning program that helps children who have been abused.

The CJC’s expert staff help break the cycle of abuse and empower victims to become survivors. The program’s operations are administered by the Salt Lake County District Attorney, and, as a mandated private-public partnership, donations from the community are vital to support the program’s mission and purpose. The CJC’s yellow butterfly Wheels of Justicelogo represents the delicate and beautiful nature of childhood, as well as the empowerment that comes from exercising your wings to fly.

What we do.

Bicycle AccidentsWhether it’s in our annual Ain’t No Mountain High Enough! team ride, in small groups spread throughout the state on weekends, or solo riders simply reppin’ our colors, we mostly just have fun riding in the beautiful outdoors and enjoying the comradery that comes from riding with a common purpose.

We raise money through the sale of team merchandise and through in-kind and cash donations from our many community partners. One of our partners, Utah-based DNA Cycling, has made its coveted BIO Fit jersey and Elite bib shorts (custom made in Italy) available to our members at a steeply discounted price to assist in our fund- raising efforts. You can purchase a team kit by Contacting Us.

What we ask of our members

Membership in Wheels of Justice is absolutely free. We hope our members will rep’ our colors and promote the cause by buying team kits, which DNA Cycling makes available to us below cost, and which proceeds all go to help the kids. We also ask our members to consider a regular voluntary commitment of time to give back to the community, preferably in an endeavor related to our mission. For example, our attorney and other professional members can do this by providing pro bono professional services to our beneficiary organizations or directly to the children and families we serve.

Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!

Come, tackle all five of Salt Lake City’s riding canyons with us!

Bicycle Accidents
Our major event each year is our Ain’t No Mountain High Enough! Ride. The ride will start at the Black Bear Diner in Sandy, where the good people there will provide us with a free pancake breakfast. We will then ascend all five of Salt Lake City’s riding canyons: Little Cottonwood Canyon, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Millcreek Canyon, Emigration Canyon, and City Creek Canyon! Yep. Riders can choose to ride one, two, three, four, or all five canyons. Those who finish all five will receive a killer finisher’s medal, courtesy of Drive Marketing. All participants will receive a free Specialized 2nd Gen Big Mouth water bottle, courtesy of UtahBikingLaw.com. Thanks to our many other generous local partners, there will also be some very cool prizes awarded in a number of different categories. Rally your friends and come join us!
