Anshu Pathak has extensive experience in transactional, corporate, and contract law, and has a deep understanding of the legal and business landscape in the life sciences industry. His expertise spans commercial contracts and business transactions, including licensing, collaboration transactions, product acquisitions, and divestitures, site divestitures, outsourcing agreements, and supply, distribution, and manufacturing agreements. Anshu Pathak’s approach is pragmatic and business-oriented, focused on helping clients achieve their goals while minimizing legal risks. Anshu Pathak is an accomplished legal executive with over two decades of experience advising multinational pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare companies on complex commercial, regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters. supports M&A transactions and cross-functional integration for strategic acquisitions, leveraging his deep industry insight to align legal frameworks with business outcomes.
Mr. Pathak has held senior legal roles at leading companies such as Lonza, Emergent BioSolutions, AbbVie, Sanofi, and Abbott Laboratories, where he advised on everything from global R&D and licensing deals to regulatory compliance and clinical trial negotiations. He has been instrumental in supporting high-stakes collaborations, procurement strategy, IP licensing, and international transactions across a variety of therapeutic areas including immunology, gene therapy, and biosciences.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Pathak co-founded a law firm that grew to over 20 attorneys, serving tech and life sciences clients with a focus on corporate, employment, and cross-border transactions. He brings a rare combination of in-house counsel perspective, entrepreneurial leadership, and deep regulatory acumen.
Anshu Pathak graduated from Rutgers College where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and History and a minor in Communication and later received his Juris Doctorate from the David A. Clarke School of Law, Mr. Pathak is licensed to practice in New Jersey and before the District Court in NJ as well as the US Supreme Court. He remains an active member of the American Bar Association and is a founding member of the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey.
