Paul Rajan is Senior Counsel at Rajan Legal PC, a New Jersey-based law firm with offices in Kendall Park and Iselin. With over 45 years of legal experience, Mr. Rajan remains actively engaged in the practice of law, continuing a lifelong commitment to serving clients with diligence, integrity, and practical insight.
Mr. Rajan is a founding figure in the legal community, having established multiple respected firms over the course of his career, including Paul Rajan & Associates, Rajan & Rajan LLP, and Paul Rajan for Immigrants. His current role at Rajan Legal PC reflects a seamless transition of his legacy practice, where he now serves as Senior Counsel focusing primarily on Immigration Law, Wills and Estates.
Over the decades, Mr. Rajan has developed a broad and sophisticated legal practice. While his primary focus today is Immigration and Estate planning, his experience spans Civil Litigation, Residential and Commercial Real Estate transactions, Family Law, and Landlord-Tenant matters. He is particularly well-versed in all facets of U.S. immigration law, including family-based and employment-based immigration, consular processing, and select removal proceedings before the Immigration Court.
Mr. Rajan’s distinguished career is further shaped by his unique multidisciplinary background. Prior to entering the legal profession, he earned degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Madras (India) and the University of Waterloo (Canada) and worked for over a decade in the design and engineering of nuclear power facilities. He later earned his MBA in Finance from Rutgers University, bringing a strong analytical and business-oriented perspective to his legal practice.
A recognized leader in the South Asian legal and business communities, Mr. Rajan is the Founder and first President of the Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce. He has also been actively involved in numerous cultural and civic organizations dedicated to advancing and supporting the Asian Indian community across the United States.
In recognition of his pioneering contributions to the legal profession and the community, Mr. Rajan was honored with the Trailblazer Award by the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey.
Mr. Rajan is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the American Bar Association (ABA).
